We will be staying at Pilton Moor Stables (SA3 1PH) Rhossilli on the very tip of the Gower Peninsula with 34 miles of coastline to explore, here there is some of the best off road riding to be found anywhere.
Choosing the self catering option to keep costs to a minimum, we d be camping next to the yard, with a basic kitchen, toilet and shower facilities. Electric hook up for lorries and caravans is also available but let me know asap. The cost is based on per tent/caravan/lorry/pitch so if non riding partners or family members want to come too they are more than welcome.(but please bare in mind this is a senior only weekend so over 18s only).
Well behaved dogs are also welcome as long as you clean up after them and do not leave them alone.
As for your horse a stabling or paddock option is available,on a BHS approved yard. Horse s must be upto date with tetanus and flu.
Please let me know asap the paddock option is ideal for horses that come off the same yard and are used to being turned out together.
Arrive anytime that suits you friday afternoon/eve settle horses in. Last year we had a BBQ on the yard everyone bought some food and a bottle.
Saturday am. Morning yard and breakfast, Then an escorted ride down to Rhossilli beach, this is easily a 4 hr ride so please ensure your horse is fit enough so that you
both enjoy the day, (bring a packed lunch if you wish).
There is a chip shop and a selection of pubs within a short distance of Pilton Moor for your evening meal. Last year we all decended on the local pub which was quite entertaining.
Sunday Am, Morning yard and breakfast. Then an unescorted ride. We have many options of new routes but last year we all wanted to go back to the beach. Everything is
optional and the aim of the weekend is about having fun and enjoying your horse
Sunday PM. Pack up to come home.
Please let me know if you require stabling or turn out and if you require electric hook up, and where you plan to sleep etc so I can work out the final cost.
Stabling/paddock option is £ per horse per night (so £ for your horse)
You will need to bring your own feed and hay. Straw will be available to buy at £3.50 a bale, the stables will be empty when we arrive and need to be left in the same state when we leave.
The cost of a pitch for your tent/caravan/lorry is £ per night (so £ for the weekend) regardless of how many people sleep in it, so if you share the cheaper it becomes.
